Week 5 April 2012

This is the Colour Q that I used for colour inspiration for my card.
I didn't enter it into the competition, as it was closed when I found this.

And finally this is my card for the "Feeling Sketchy Challenge, Week 5".
I have adapted the Scrapbook Sketch, so that it fits onto my card.
I have very limited time to make my projects, due to my work commitments,
and I find that cards are quicker and I don't have to wait to get photos processed.
My card is water coloured using stampin' write markers, calypso coral, pumpkin pie
and pool party.It was a lot of fun using the colours and I would not have thought
to put this combination of colours together without the inspiration of the
above "Colour Q".I think I will try a few more of them in the future.

April - Week 4 "Feeling Sketchy Challenge"

Week 4 - Jessica T's wonderful sketch.

My Card -
Paper from my old stash, lace from the second hand shop (nice and cheap),
and the stamps and card stock from Stampin' up.
I water coloured the frogs with my stampin' write markers,
and tried to make them look like they were in water.
Hmmm... I'm not convinced that I was successful, but I had fun trying.
What a great way to spend a Monday afternoon.

My Card for the "Feeling Sketchy Challenge - Week 3"
This is the first time I have tried to sew with the sewing maching onto my card.
It was much harder than it looked and my machine went silly on one corner,
but I quiet like the over all effect of the stitching.I can't wait to get my own sewing machine.
Most products used on my card are from Stampin Up - as that is what i currently own the most of.Lace was brought from the second hand shop - I brought a whole box full for a dollar - It was a great find.Image was water colooured with stampin write markers and a water pen.

Friday Night Stampin Club

Crayon resist - I love this technique.

Water Colouring with chalks.
We also had a play with the new dies and embossing folders from the new mini catalogue from Stampin Up.

A close up of my water colouring. The chalk gave me a really nice soft finish.

Feeling Sketchy Challenge 14/04/2012

I have been playing around with a little bit of crayon resist.I love this effect and the best bit is that it is supper easy to get a really great effect.
